C-Art is Cumbria’s county wide visual arts programme, co-ordinated by Eden Arts. The highlight is the open studios and galleries event which will take place from 12 – 27 September 2015. Earlier in the year the inaugural Cumbrian Artist of the Year exhibition took place at the Rheged Centre and saw Sarah Tew win the award. Alongside this award the Young Cumbrian Artist of the Year (Bronny Salter) and People’s Choice Awards  (Alan Stones) were presented.

C-Art attracts a large amount of visitors each year and offers an insight into the creative scene in Cumbria. This blog offers an opportunity to see artists thoughts and preparations, art in unusual places, reviews of exhibitions and goings on between events.
